Asociación Mar a Mar - El Camino de Costa Rica
Mar a Mar is a non-profit association dedicated to rural development, and they are the creators of an adventure-filled hiking trail of 280 km through picturesque small towns in the Costa Rican countryside, as well as many of the country’s natural landscapes, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, known as El Camino de Costa Rica. Along this route, you can make a memorable stop at our lodge, Barbilla Rainforest Lodge, where you can rest in comfortable beds before continuing your hike. We are at the end of stage 2 (of 18 in total), in the small community of Las Brisas de Pacuarito.
The association offers a wealth of help, advice, and useful information to prepare for your hike, which you can undertake in a self-guided manner. Additionally, there are several Costa Rican tour operators you can contact through Mar a Mar if you prefer to receive support in planning and executing your trip.
